Inspired by the beauty, grandeur, and quiet majesty of ancient trees, Kent Johnson began photographing these “Significant Trees” — many well over 100 years old — portraying each one as a character in its own right. His work stands as a tribute to their presence, the shade they offer, and the air we all share.
